Here's a rare opportunity to get a pair of Harley Davidson leather saddle bags at a reasonable price. We all know what these sell for. Here are the details:
These are for what I believe is for a Harley Sportster bike. They are traditional all leather with black straps that go into engraved "Harley Davidson" nickle-plated buckles. There are 9 studs on the front of the saddle bags and 12 studs on the top of the bags that you can see in the photos. They are riveted in place and stitched with rot-proof thread. They measure 17" in length x 9" tall x 5" deep. The date of manufacture is March 16, 1995. The serial number on the back is: 045982 and each bag has a raised/embossed set of numbers and they are: 6002-1 and 6001-4 respectively. THERE IS NO MOUNTING HARDWARE!
On the corner of one bag the stitching has come away from it's rivet (see photo #11) and will need to be re-attached. Other than a few scuffs and scratches that one would expect from a set of bags that are 15 years old -- these are in great condition. I am starting these out at a low price as to be affordable to someone who will really appreciate them.
